The web is a marketers paradise….

The viral nature of the web changes the game on how companies can market themselves, their products or even their jobs. As one author puts it, “A community of connected individuals talking, reading, publishing, collaborating, syndicating, discovering, and sharing information around the world and around the clock.” 

I came across this video done by a professor at university of Kansas in describing “Web 2.0”. It’s brilliant. But the lesson here is how quickly and how far this video “message” has gone. Over the course of 10 days, the community has viewed the video 806,077 times, posted 2749 comments, and republished the video or the link on countless other websites and blogs that resyndicate the content via RSS.  Now that’s something that should make you sit up and take notice.

This should make you think of your own messaging.  If your prospects or potential candidates are online, how are you reaching them?  How are you disseminating your message and interacting with your community? Time to start leveraging the tools that helps you maximize your messaging distribution and optimize what message you are sending.
